July 4th in the United States of America is known for celebrations, gathering with friends and family for barbecues and watching fireworks displays. As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day this long weekend, we’d like to take a moment to highlight a recent partnership between Qlik’s Change Our World CSR program and The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign.
Drunk driving tragedies claim over 10,000 American lives annually, and injure tens of thousands more. The HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers seeks to end drunk driving tragedies nationwide by promoting the use of safe and sober designated drivers. Their goal is to register 100,000 HEROES to provide safe rides for those who have been drinking alcoholic beverages at parties, bars, sporting events, weddings, etc. Here’s how they’re doing so far:
Qlik and the HERO Campaign are asking everyone to be safe, celebrate responsibly, and/or have a sober designated driver whenever they are drinking alcoholic beverages to prevent drunk driving tragedies. We highly encourage you or someone you know to take the pledge, be a HERO and help them reach their goal of 100,000.
