The Solution Architect position will be responsible for supporting prospect evaluations of QlikView through focused account management, solution demonstrations and formal proof of concepts. This person must have the ability to operate in an ever changing environment and react quickly to the needs of the sales team. Throughout the sales cycle the Solution Architect will be responsible to educate customers on best practices, as well as being the primary technical contact.

The Solution Architect  position requires the following responsibilities and profile.

Your Responsibilities:

Technically qualify and help close sales opportunities

Perform sales activities with the goal of driving regional revenue

Develop and manage the technical portions of the account plan

Deliver exceptional technical architecture presentations to present technical features and business benefits of products

Strong Ability to deliver a solid Proof of Concept

Create and present custom demonstrations and presentations as they apply to customer/prospect issues and needs

Position the proposed solution to the prospect’s technical, end users, operations and senior management staff

Help formulate custom demos, customer referrals, pilot and product acceptance plans to meet customer stated acceptance criteria such as performance and functionality requirements

Ensure successful pilot projects and product installations

Manage technical aspects of corporate visits

Resolve Presales technical issues Identify, resolve and communicate technical and business issues to Presales management

Maintain high level of involvement in the close of accounts identified by sales and technical management

Use all tools provided to Presales to respond to the technical content of RFI/RFP response

Support regional business development activities

Ensure that all appropriate demos, presentations and software are installed and maintained on your Presales equipment

Effectively utilize corporate applications, email and other communication vehicles

Participate in all appropriate product training and certification to acquire and maintain high product knowledge

Continue development of job related expertise and communication skills

Responsible for helping achieve 100% customer satisfaction

Maintain high quality client relationships

Corporate liaison for customer issues on as needed basis

Your Profile:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Advanced degree desirable

Minimum 5 years experience in relevant applications, relational database, web and client server technology

Programming Languages(Java, VBScript, SQL, C etc.)

Data Modeling

Charting & analysis with Excel or similar tools – “turning data into information”

Minimum of 3 years vendor experience in a sales support position

Excellent knowledge of systems and application design

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Ability to lead team to solve complex technical problems in complex political environments

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Strong sales and marketing skills including: Needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
