Challenges

  • Remote users (the local sales managers), need to connect to reports remotely, and the report refresh time after making queries is slow. This was inefficient.
  • When changes needed to be made to the business logic and analysis needs need to be changed, modifications took a long time, leaving it out of sync with business needs
  • Limited data sources could be put through the original reporting system, causing a bottleneck in adding new data sources and enabling high level of data integration and analysis

Solution

  • Provided a solution which allows remote users to download the analysis and reports, eliminating the time wasted while waiting for data refreshes
  • The new system is flexible in terms of development and enabled them to update the analysis and reports within the same month that changes are requested. This made the system very efficient for high growth organizations
  • The new system integrated data from different data sources  to produce analysis including:
    • Production analysis, end terminal analysis
    • Customer visit analysis, market competition analysis
    • Human resource allocation and gap analysis
  • Compared to the previous reporting system, they are now able, with 1 platform, to integrate data and analyze this, while enjoying improvements in objective setting and resource optimization
